The Other Soldiers...
In this section
of our website you'll find a list of all Departments, companies and their
muster rolls that fought during the Sioux/Cheyenne War of 1876. We even include
information about the steamer, "Far West."
These companies
did not fight along the Little Bighorn at Custer's Last Stand with the 7th
Cavalry under George A. Custer; however some fought at the Rosebud Battle
under Crook, some survived the "starvation march" into the Black Hills,
and many fought in the other 12 battles of the war.
